Eye examination

We value all our patients as individuals and have extended appointment times. This allows not only an enhanced eye examination, but time to discuss your needs and our recommendations.

An eye examination does more than determine if you see well; it is a vital part of your overall health with many major medical conditions being detected by simply examining your eye.

All our optometrists are Independent Prescribers (or training to be). This means they have undertaken further years of training to diagnose and prescribe for more advanced eye conditions. Teamed up with our state-of-the-art clinical equipment, you are guaranteed to be in the safest of hands.

Should you require glasses after your eye examination we will show you what shapes and styles work best for your face shape and prescription.

Your suitability for contact lenses will also be discussed during your eye examination. We would love to help you on your journey with contact lens wear, if required.

We are proud to offer free NHS eye examinations funded by the Scottish Government.

OCT

OCT eye scan

Our OCT is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages and can detect eye conditions up to four years in advance of a ‘normal’ eye examination.

The OCT scan is not included within an NHS eye examination and incurs a private fee of £40, however we feel this is undoubtably money well spent.
